Has anyone had a good or bad experience having furniture custom made by Caz Interiors on Queens Road East? I am interested in having several pieces of furniture made.

I was told to be careful as the furniture that is displayed in showrooms is often of better quality and finish than the furniture that is actually custom made and delivered.

Any information on this particular vendor would be helpful and appreciated.

Any recommendations for other vendors in Hong Kong would be greatly appreciated.

CAZ interior is a great place to custom make furniture, they have their own factory, so they do not need to pay what designers need to, and they can make it better. However, one thing to watch out for is their waiting list. I was going to work in Hong Kong in June, so I stopped by in May to shop for furniture and stuff to get it all ready when I move over. I saw this lovely lovely love seat, and wanted to custom make it mahogany. They told me it would take 4 weeks from first installment to delivery at least, sometimes it could take 6 weeks since they have a very long waiting list. I had to suck it up and pay anyways cause it looks so sexy.... it arrived 4 and a half week later, still sexy as ever. They also reupholstered my couch which I bought from them cause my dog had a problem with leather =(. I would give them a 8/10, -2 for waiting list...
