Tis ok, us oldies are a forgiving lot. Plus you had no other reason to assume otherwise.

You must love this. compared to everyone else, you are quite the young 'un. but... (and I'm NINETEEN IN TWO WEEKS. So ha! You're only 2 years older...and a bit)

Well, I just figured since you don't speak Chinese, and your name looks asian, and especially Japanese, that...well, you know.

I am loving it actually, it's not often I'm seen as "old".

I speak Cantonese, well try to at best and can muddle my way through conversations.

As for my name you're quite right in thinking it's Japanese, as it means sea bandit or Pirate (pretty much the same thing) in Japanese. I use it reduce the chances of seeing the 'your user name has been chosen by another million people try again screen'.

oh! so I was only half wrong. I was right about the origin, but wrong about it being your name/heritage. Would you care to take a guess from where I'm from?

Teen xpat?
Eh....barely.
By a matter of months really.
I'm still not really used to being a teen and I'm already pushing 20.

*sigh*

And while I'm on the subject of rudly interupting your collective flow, I'd just like to say that there's not an imperialist snow balls chance in Iraq that you'll correctly guess my ethinic origin.

Although the title "xpat" and the term "born in Hong Kong" might start you on the right track.
