My time in HK is running out and I am still yet to find some goodies for my xbox... I am familiar with Mongkok Computer Centre and Sham Shui Po markets ...
Can anyone please help as I'm after:

2. media centre xtender kit (ms xbox media centre dashboard)
Thanks,

Is this the box that allows you to watch movies etc stored on your computer (running media center) on a TV via wireless?
I've seen it in Wanchai Computer center for sure.

| | | Try microplanet in festival walk.
Or give them a call first.
Call 1081 and request their number.
Also check out Star Computer City in Tsim Sha Tsui.
A good shop there is Houston Crest you can get the number for that too from 1081 directories.

| | | I can swear I've seen it at a couple of places in Wanchai Computer center.
The shop on the top floor which sells tons of LCD monitors.. opted against it at the time, given that I wanted to upgrade the wireless network @ home before investing in more fancy crap.
And one on the first floor across from a networking / server shop (fairly highend stuff).

| | More Help Please! =) Hi Guys,
I'm back in AU now and I was unable to find the Xbox Media Centre Xtender [ http://www.xbox.com/en-US/hardware/x...rextender.htm]
If someone comes across this, I would certainly appreciate if you could remember the store name, as I would like to get this in my next visit to HK starting in Aug.
Thanks in advance for keeping an eye out!

| | Most importantly...
If i bring my X-box over from blighty, once ive got over the initial problems of getting power/fitting adapters (though im guessing scart plugs are pretty universal) etc, am i going to find i can't get any games that will work on it?
also, is the X-box360 likely to be cheaper in HK when it comes out, if so, i guess its not really a problem...

| | | Thanks a million Shri! Time is my worst enemy! So far from the ms website, I gather it is only available in the US ... ?
As for xbox360 - yes, i guess it will be cheaper in HK when it comes out, but as long as my xbox does everything that I want it to do (mozilla internet browser, dvd player, media centre, games centre) then there's no point in getting another console ...
The glowing green light is a very cool concept tho ... just interesting to see h/m it will cost! =)
For the time being, buying wireless controllers would be the closest thing! =) =)

| | | Another question - I am wanting to install a bigger HDD on my xbox and was wondering if an external USB HDD will work by using the xbox-usb adapter/cable?
Can anyone confirm/deny this?
Also, I have purchased a remote control which says 'Region 1 and 2' on there, and was wondering will this work on my xbox (AU - region 4 dvd's)? I don't understand why the remote controls are region coded ...??
Thanks
