Going to HKLTC in February, any advice on living situations?

Hello! If some one has posted this before, forgive me!

I will be in HK from Feb 1 until March 1 in 06. I will be attending HKLTC : ) I dont want to send in my app until I know where I will be staying.

What are your suggestions? How would a commute from a hostel in Kowloon or Causeway Bay be to Wanchai? I looked at some affordable places online, and Im hoping to get advice on anyone who has been there and done that.

I have never been to Hong Kong so I am not sure how troublesome it could be to get to Wanchai where the school is, the hotels and temporary expat hotels there are pretty pricey when I dont expect luxury, just something sufficient. Where I live, it could take an hour or more to get just 10 miles.

Any one who can offer even a tiny bit of advice or a name of a place for me to look into would rule!

The underground railway is fast cheap and clean, will get you around the city - no problems to travel from causeway bay (very close to wanchai) or TST which is across the harbour in Kowloon. Cheap accommodation on the other hand is tougher to find. check http://www.ywca.org.hk

Transport in HK is so efficient - you will have no worries. You could even walk from Causeway Bay to Wanchai - 10 mins!
