Recommendations for restaurants

Hi,

My friend from Holland is going to visit me on Friday.
I was wondering where i should take him for dinner.
Any recommendations?

Huge question! Narrow it down a little...Chiu Chau? Shanghinese? Cantonese? Pekinese? Szechuan? Vietnamese? Thai? French? Indian? Italian? German? Russian? Local flavour dai pai dongs? Hong Kong is covered with wonderful restaurants.

zahra's, jaffe road, lebanese....small and cosy, great food, perfect for catchinh up...either choose off the menu yourself or get vivienne to choose for you depending how hungry you are...house wine is well priced and reasonable. one of my favourites in hkg.

I beg to differ. The tables are way too close to each other.

And thank you for that complement.

Ideas, well ...

Here goes ..

Vongs is a favorite, so is the Verandah in Repulse Bay. Lucy's in Stanley is also up there on the list.

A couple of Soho places like Olives are decent.

Hmmm .. what else? I've had good meals at Totts, McDonalds, Olivers and most other places in Hong Kong where the company has been good.

WildD -- happy?

Sabatini...

Sabatini is a nice place to eat. Quite expensive though, but the quality of the food is outstanding.
They are doin Italian cuisine.
And also a band - singing unplugged - is walking around and singing songs u ask them to. Quite romantic if its ur boy, Veronique! ;-)

It's within a hotel in TST, I forgot the name of it, damn it.
