We have been dreaming for years of getting a dog and we finally have the right home. I have been to 2 pet shops in Happy Valley (recommended by friends) to get a chocolate labrador and they were not able to find any for us since 2 months. The puppy could be of any color but it has to come from a very serious breeder. We're desperate for a good adress. Thank you

Please, please, please go to the animal shelters and find a dog there instead of upping the demand for puppies to be kept in cages in tiny pet shops.
I have several friends on Lamma who have had 10 month old labs foisted on them as people see tham when they are weeks old, think they look like their My Dog MacDonalds cushions, take them home to their 400sqft flat with 8 people living in it and wonder why the dog pisses, sh*ts and chews through everything when it gets a 10 minute leashed walk in the morning and another one at night- all the while living on leftover table scraps.
I'd love a lab, even better, a long haired retriever, but as it is I have homed two beautiful dogs, one dumped in a bin when she was 3 weeks old (an Alsatian cross) and the other dumped over Chinese New Year weekend (a white terrier).
The SPCA in Wanchai will help you find a dog- just tell them what you want. A friend got a cross between a labrador and poodle- a labaradoodle no less. A cross-breed experiment by sickos but it is the coolest dog- temperament and looks.

I strongly suggest you find a puppy through recommendations from a reputable vet, as there are a lot of very sick animals in pet shops here.

Rehashing this old thread - does anyone now a reputable Labrador Breeder in HK?

Alternatively if you know someone or someone who has puppies that knows their ancestry that would be great too.
