Many coffee shops do have a couple of PC with internet access, look out for "Pacific coffee" - access time is limited to 15 mins, and word not installed.

The airport has you walk out there is a counter, damn expensive I have been told. Secondhand units are plentiful, and pay as go SIM
available from any 7-11 store.

Banks better than retail outlets, not much difference between bank rates in my experience. Where - depends on your location.
