Hi, I am currently living in Toronto and I've recently been offered serveral entry level computer jobs over in HK and I am 90% sure that I will accept one of these offers because I figured that the job prospects in Toronto is not as great as I am still awaiting responses from the many companies that I have applied to. I am not familiar with HK so maybe if someone can give me the pros and cons between the two cities such as: costs, entertainment, job opportunities, pay, etc

Do you have the right to work in HK? It is very unusual for "entry level computer jobs" to be regarded as suitable for an Employment visa.

Yup I've just got my HKID during the last Xmas break when I was vacationing in HK.

hi there! I'm from Toronto. I've been working here for a year plus now. My situation is a little different from yours as I have family here and I also work for one of my family member's business. Is the prospective employer offering you a housing allowance of some sort? Rent will probably be your largest expense. Transportation wise, its very economical. Entertainment, food and shopping are largely controllable and dependable on how much you want to spend. Hope this helps

I am from Toronto too !!! I will be moving to HK next month, but first i need to apply for my HKID as i have the right to abode there. I will be trying to find a job there after i get my HKID. I think HK is a great choice to move to, but however, like everywhere else there are pros and cons. I wish you all the best.
