Arrow newly arrivals

Welcome to HK,

If you are looking to stay in a nice temporary apartment while you go house hunting, there's are nice service apartments in Central called ICE HOUSE. As for looking to apartments, how much rent are you wanting to pay?

tsuiwah will become famous soon enough
I live in Causeway Bay. I used to like it (especially the convenience and the nice harbour view), but now I dread the crowds at all times of the day, the marketing salespeople trying to sell you something at every corner, the noise/construction inside and outside my building, the dripping water from all the window air conditioners, the pollution from the cross harbour tunnel entrance.

Yes, I plan to move, although I will miss the convenience.

i can understand how you feel about living in big central city. at the moment i live in city taipei busy, hot and as you said poluted also noisey.

my husband job is in kowloon and he thinking if we can get apartement in central is good for him and easy to get to his job.

for me in personal it did not matter as long we're still can go anywhere around hongkong easy

are you still living in causeway bay till now???

Would never pick Causeway Bay - too heavily polluted

ningsih,

check out the serviced apartment link on this site -

http://www.geoexpat.com/resources/ho...ed-apartments/

- for budgets. As far as I am concerned staying in a serviced apart and getting a feel for the place, travel times, etc before committing to leasing a flat is a very good idea and constitutes a low risk approach. You can spend big bucks on a serviced apartment but there are some on that list as low as 10k (a month) and you start to get a respectable choice at around 15K.

Ningsih,

We live in Happy Valley which is about 10-15 minute walk to Causeway Bay. This area is very nice, not congestest and busy like Causeway Bay and Central, close to all amenties, good transport links (via Tram, Bus routes, closest MTR is Causeway Bay). There are many service apartments here and hotels doing special deals, you can try:

Ming's Court (www.mingscourt.com) - service apartment
The Emperor Hotel - Tel 2961 3110 - advertising hotel rooms with all amenties included
or,if you really want Causeway Bay, I saw an advert for a place called Regents Height Tel 2895 2555 / 2407 6161

cheers
T
