I am interested in a banking job in HK.
Am About to recieve my master in Applied Economics and Finance from Copenhagen Business School. I am currently writing my thesis from Shanghai doing a valuation of a segment in the Chinese credit card market for an american company. I want to stay in the China region for my first job and I am concidering to look for job in HK.

I have only little relevant working experience doing some cash pool and FX pool management during summer internships and from my thesis which gives me relevant experience from the baking sector in Shanghai. Also I speak Swedish, Danish, English, conversational Spanish and little German but no asian languages.

What are my chances to find a job relevant for my education in HK?
Will my MSc degree offset the lack of experience?
Will my expericenes from a US MBA school and Phd. level courses in Economics be worth any?
Any advice?

Wow, deine Sprachkompetenzen sind top. Kompliment!!!
Bestimmt wird HK solche sprachliche Fähigkeiten und Finanzfachwissen zu schätzen wissen.
Ich habe in der Schweiz für die UBS AG und PostFinance gearbeitet. Bei der PostFinance war ich im für Compliance Kopetenzzentrum Geldwäscherei Tätig gewesen. Auch ich suche eine neue Herausforderun in HK. Dabei geht es mir in erster Linie nicht darum ins Bankgeschäft einzusteigen, sondern Fusszufassen in HK Wirtschaft.
