Mike is on a distinguished road
Try Gai Tai Ho restaurants in Sung Kit Street, Hunghom. They appear to be many small japanese shops but they may be owned by the same company. Well worth a visit.

yo ace
I'm a bit tied up Saturday, how about a late lunch on Friday?
The joint is in SunHungKai Centre on Harbour Road in Wanchai, on the 1st floor
does it bear mentioning that all other GeoPats nippon inclined are most welcome?

Well Ace,
For a more serene atmosphere, how about chowing down, just after 1400? That way the hordes will have returned to their cubicles, and peace prevails in the corridors.
what say?

Japanese Traditional Restaurant-a tale..

If you ask nicely the Japanese name [ Marunouchi Shokudo]
will be announced , with the same volume and enthusiam that EVERY guest is greeted by EVERY member of the wait staff from the manager down. These people mean business, The menu is a single page affair with the usual Japanese noodles and rice dishes in the $35-$60 range, with a lot of japanese drinks for $10-$15.
I alas could not partake as I was there at the ungodly hour of 1155, as my companion does indeed think this is lunchtime. I confined myself to a grapefruit soda. and spent my time observing. The wait staff consisting of a dozen youngish ladies were very professional and did not give the impression of only having been on the job since the begining of the month.
I plan to go back there soon at a decent lunching hour.

btw Shri the owners are Tomato Books Ltd [really!]
