Dear all,

I am in my early 30s and recently moved to HK to join my fiance here. I am a professionally trained economist and worked in Washington DC and Bangkok before moving to HK.

Am interested to meet folks in a similar situation who have followed their partners and are finding stimulating ways (sports, dance, language courses) to spend their time here. Ideas and resources from the peanuts would be welcome!

I am in the same position as you are, early 30s, and my parter will be studying business in HK (he will be pretty busy with school!), so I am keen to get out and make some friends! I am a PhD student from UCLA, and I will be writing my dissertation (in economic geography) while in HK, but I want to get out and enjoy HK as well! Let me know if you want to get together to take any classes/shop/etc, I will be in HK from August onwards! Cheers!

Me too! I am in the late 20s and followed my boyfriend out here. I am now working full-time but as my b/f travels during the week, I am interested in meeting people in the evenings - perhaps for a drink + a chat after work (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) or cinema. I also play squash and badminton if you want a game. Send me a PM.

Hi there! Joining this conversation a little later, since I just moved from Amsterdam to HK with my boyfriend. Love to meet people as well, since I haven´t found a job yet and really want to start up my own life here. A coffee, shopping, drinks, clubbing , discovering HongKong...Is there a social group already?
