Shenzhen massage???

Hi,
I keep hearing that there are places in Shenzhen that offer great massages at very reasonable prices. Has any body had any experiences (good & bad) they wish to share? I’m not looking for any kind of hanky-panky, just a sauna, with spa baths, steam room, a body scrub and massage. A place where you can spend an afternoon and forget everything. (Like places in Korea and Taiwan)

Any names (and directions) will be appreciated.

Thanks,
b.

Have seen a couple of travel shows on the Discovery Channel and there are these day spas where you can have a massage, sauna etc. But I don't remember the name of the place. Sorry.

try the Railway Station Spa @ the Raiway Station Hotel which is across from [where else] The Railway Station. you can spend the whole day there on the cheap and no hanky panky.

The trouble (ok, my trouble) with SZ is that its so hard to find anything, let alone give directions! Its heaps cheaper to get a decent massage (with or without the extras, you decide) and spend the better part of a day there than in HK. It helps if you speak Canto and can look for specials sets (ear, hands, facial, + massage) over getting them ordered individually. Good luck!

I often go out in Shenzhen with some friends, and it is a very good place to have massage.
We are going to East Hawaimassage center. It is very close to the Hilton hotel, and very nice. It is opened 24h a day, so you can go there after clubbing, and spend the end of the night there.

i speak relatively good cantonese(hubby is local) and i've found in SZ that no one could/tried to understand what i was saying except in the restaurant ordering dim sum.

HK's Shenzhen

There are a few really big chains of massage palours in Tsim Sha Tsui that look like Shenzhen, that probably operate like Shenzhen & I'm just guessing, charges like Shenzhen. I have seen them advertising on the local tv channels... i've never been (don't know if I have the courage to) but if Shenzhen quality is what you're looking for, it's all in the heart of T.S.T. 7 mong Kok. Good Luck!

Smile thanks!

Thank you to all. I will try the places suggested in SZ, but it looks like it will not be a trip for the sole purpose of a massage, all sounds too complicated for something that is meant to be relaxing.

In the mean time i will check out TST and continue my visits to the Sunny Paradise Sauna in Wan Chai!

cheers
b.
