Im currently working on my dependant visa coz the immd gave me a letter saying that my application as a whole cannot meet their policy but they given permission to me exceptionally to take up employment.

I have been working for this company for almost 6 months now and my dependant visa will expire on the 17th of Aug 2005.

The thing is, I have a different company (smaller company than the first one) willing to sponsor me. I don't think my new company familar with the process and they don't really want to wait for more than a month.

So, what is my chance to get a new working visa? Will they reject me? Do you think I should wait until I get the working permit then resign?

I am Indonesian and have two university degrees in tourism and Public Relation, some English and IELTS certificates, 5 years working experience in marketing, hotel industry, translation, and education. What happened to your original sponsor? If there isn't any restriction on the special permission given to you, why not simply extend dependant visa. Is that permission time-bound or employer-bound!!! Shouldnt it give you freedom to work with any employer now and for the coming 7 yrs as well!!!!!

The job isnt really challenging at the moment and I dont know for how long, actually I have done nothing for the last 6 months!!!!!

The dependant visa will expire also the permission. The letter said that I should apply for further permission upon my application for extension of dep. visa.

Is this mean that I will never get a working permit, ever?????? And just use a permission letter for one company only?

God I think Im stuck!!!

Anybody with the same experience maybe you can help me.

Getting a work permit should not be a problem provided your new employer is willing to sponsor and able to prove your case to ImmD.... As a last resort you could get an extension and try hard enough to extend Sp permission...
