Looking for 2-bedroom Apt

Got an offer to work in Hong Kong.

So, planning to move the entire family to Hong Kong by August.

For a family of three, including a 2-year old baby, a size of 700-800 should be sufficient.

With a budget of HKD8-10K, is it possible to find a comfortable place to stay on the island?

My office will be in Central.

Cheers

Transport is so good in HK, I would think of venturing to Shatin - you will get more space for your budget.

Baron is an unknown quantity at this point.
Shatin is a bit of a way out to central after a long night! There are closer places to live on the island. In the HK8-10k bracket you are best looking to the south side of HK island. Places like Stanley or even repulse bay. Though travel time probably isn't much different, its a little nicer place to live as you have beaches and nice walking trails.

Discovery Bay or Park Island would be a good choice. Alot of expats and very family oriented. Ferry ride is approximately 25 minutes to central. Park Island ferry is 11hkd, Discovery Bay is 23hkd one way.

Many thanks, folks.

Apart from your suggestions, I'm considering staying in village houses in Sha Tin/Tai Wai area. Since we are not much into night life, a quiet place with great air quality would be good for bringing up children.

Will check up these places soon when I go over for a short visit.

Cheers,
