| | | American TV and Hong Kong signal I have learned from this board that U.S. TVs are not on the same signal as Hong Kong i.e. PAL or NTSC. However I went to a computer shop and the owner explained that new TVs generally are universal, but that if my TV did not work all I needed was a signal convertor. So I went home and hooked up my PCCW cable to my U.S. TV. Sound was fine but the picture rolled as if it were simply out of tune. I could not get this to stop. Is this because my TV is not compatible with the signal or is this some other problem? | |

| | | Maybe Normally all the tvs are universal now, if the image rolls, it's because the tv is not set on the right signal.
In the various menus and options of your tv, you must find something about the signal and set it on Pal, or automatic.

| | | As Kristof said above, there should be a way to change the settings in your tv menu. Best to keep on 'AUTOMATIC' if the option is there. If you cant find any options for this, you may have to buy a new tv set, sorry! | |

Err .. if you purchased your TV in the US, chances are it is not a multi-system TV.

Actually it is still good for X-box and listening for voices from beyond when I have nothing else to do.
