I am currently an owner of a 2nd hand car, but am planning to upgrade my car to a MPV. Has anyone here ever tried selling away yr used car & then purchase another car? I am just wondering how i should go about doing it, is it better to buy a new car & trade in my old one or go thur a 2nd hand car dealer? any advise would greatly be appreciated.

Go to the 2nd hand car shows and find a mpv that you like, then tell the dealer that you have a car and would like to trade it in, he will then have a look at your vehicle and if he wants it he will tell you what its worth. you can have that price knocked of the MPV that you want. you might not get as much as you would by selling it privately but the market right now sucks. So if i were you and the dealer would accept your vehicle, i would trade it with him.
