Has anybody had (or knows somebody who's had) laser eye surgery in HK? I'm gonna to go for it and wanna know which company is the best and what type to have.
Love to hear any advice.

I had mine done a year ago December and would highly recommend Quality Healthcare Lasik & Ophthalmic centre in world Wide house Central.
They have been excellent, i am a nervous type and coped with the process well due to them explaining everything to me every step of the way. Dr John Chua is great. I now have perfect vision and am loving it.

I honestly can't remember but in you have certain Credit cards you get a discount etc all you have to do is email them and they will get back to you pretty quick with the cost

I had laser eye surgery in the summer - in Canada though. It was a little more detailed than just "I'm going to do it" I had to go to my local Optometrist and do a full and complete check up to ensure that I was even a candidate for the surgery. Those results will determine which type of surgery you actually get. Not sure if you've already looked into this - but I would start there rather than going straight to a surgery centre.

All of this was done at the surgery in a consultation. (actually an initial free one to see if it's suitable then a more detailed one that you pay for) My husband had one too but his eyes are not suitable to be done so he's stuck with glasses.

The best and well-known eye laser surgery should be HK Sanatorium Hosp. It is the 1st hospital where to do the eye laser surgery but the price is relatively higher than others. I got a nurse friend who is working in Sanatorium Hospital and told me that it is better to request a senior doctor to do the operation. If not, they may just delegate a trainee from China to do it.

I just wanted to give my two cents. I read this post a few weeks ago. I have been wanting to get my eyes done for years but it was always too pricey and I was too scared! I finally called a few places. Last Monday, I went to the Quality Healthcare Eye Clinic in Central. I had my assessment and had the surgery done that afternoon. The next morning I was seeing better than 20/20. I recommend everyone go and do it. It was beyond reasonable and Dr Chua was wonderful. He went through absolutely everything and made me feel very comfortable. I should have done this years ago!
