Music Recommendations Please

I'm interested in buying some Cantonese music while here and was wondering if people could point me in the right direction.

To help get a better picture of what I might like, here's what I already like:

Matchbox 20
Eric Clapton
Harlem Yu

I tend to prefer the alternative rock sound or acoustic guitar singers. Any Cantonese artists whose albums I can buy? [Mentioning both the romanized name and Chinese characters would help immensely.] Thanks!

I tried to find something interesting and just couldn't do it. But some are less offensive to the ears than others. Perhaps you could try Leon Lai 黎明 (in Yale /lai4 ming4/ (note: this also means "dawn" so searching might produce strange results)) and maybe Joey Leung 梁榮忠 (in Yale /leung4 wing4 jung1/)

hey i am also a fan of matchbox twenty and eric clapton so here are my choices, maybre u'll like them.....JAY CHOU...he is the best, u can't go wrong wif him...he has bout 5 albums though and they're all good so its just a case of random pick. Also Z CHEN is another great taiwanese singer....he actually resings Wonderful tonight which is not bad...of course not comparable to clapton's original but still good!
i wud give up on hongkong singers...honestly they are getting worse and worse lately!
like post mentioned beyond is good!
em....thats all i can fink of at the mo.

Jackie Cheung used to make great music. the lasy couple of Albums are not as good..but check out some of his stuff.

Leon is ok. Never liked him at first as the lyrics are corny but I have heard so much of his stuff lately that I have begun to buy his stuff.

Sam Hui is also good. Actually there are loads of good Canto singers. If you are in Hk pop into any HMV store and listen to some of them. You can even approach any HKger at HMV in the Canto section and ask them to recommend something.

Sigh is right!!

Forget Canto if you're looking for rock; try Mandarin rock'n'roll from "Wu Bai and China Blue", a top-notch Taiwanese band I knew from my stay in Taipei before HK. Think some of their singing is also in Hokkien / Taiwanese. (Big following in many countries. The guy running the foot massage place we were in the other day in Lowu, Shenzhen, had their live DVD on the monitor and couldn't take his eyes away from it, and hadn't a moment's hesitation in replaying it when it ended).
