Staying in HK 10th Dec - 12th Jan... what clothes to pack? Will it be cold? Bear in mind, it's going to be -1 degrees C here in the UK tonight! Should I take a jacket? Or is it more T shirt/sweatshirt weather?

you can check out hk weather by doing a google search on Hong Kong Observatory you will most probably need a light jacket and sweater. Last year the winter was mild and its supposed to get warmer each year. You would need a jacket in the airconditioning buses, shops etc because the aircon is still running in winter!!

If you're used to British winters, trousers and a light jacket should be fine. Winters here tend to be dry, unlike in the UK.

I was in the UK yesterday and it was FREEZING. Came home to HK and it's a lovely temperature here. Cool but not cold in the mornings/evening and warm but not hot during the day outside. Inside it's freezing all the time as noted above.
