Dance Classes Hello! I'm moving to Hongkong early July because of a job offer. I love to dance and I'm just curious if any of you know of a good dance school in Hongkong for adult learners. I especially love Flamenco and Belly Dance. Do you know of any dance schools that offer those classes? Please help. I have searched online for this and was really disappointed to find not even one dance school in Hongkong. Thanks!

Dance Classes Try looking into the classes at the YWCA. I'm not sure what's on this semester's class list but they have done belly dancing, latin dance and salsacise in the past. www.esmdywca.org.hk Plus when you're here (I know I've see info for dance studios and the like on my travels around town) you'll find fliers and ads in local magazines. HK is a great place I'm sure you'll enjoy it! Good luck with the move.

Wow! This sounds great! Now I'm excited to get to Hongkong! ;-) Thanks for all your help. I really appreciate it. I visited the websites and they look great! But just one thing: Is it really this expensive in Hongkong? I was blown away with the rates. An equivalent of $30 CAD for each class attended??!?? That's a lot. Dance classes --where I'm from, cost a maximum of $15/class. Thanks. ;-)

Expensive HK? Well I guess it is expensive by comparison. Although I never actually did any of these classses when I was in Toronto. Was it really that cheap? Maybe the classes here are smaller, hence more expensive. But it is true that generally I find HK is more expensive than I remember Toronto being. So it's not a complete shock that dance classes cost more too. Also try not to get hung up on doing the exchange rates (unless you're getting paid in that currency). If you were doing the exchange to the English pound everything seems like a huge bargain as it's roughly 1english to $15HK. But chances are you're not earning 15 times what you did at home so why keep dividing everything by 15? Did I explain that very well??? Anyway it is helpful at the beginning but don't get stuck doing it for years! Better sign off while I still have some clue what I'm rambling about
