Dear Jim....

Can you fix it for me to get from 301 Victoria Road aka Victoria Gardens to The main Hong Kong Bank in Central any other way than the route that the M47 daft bus goes, which is through Kennedy town and seems to take forever (I know get in a taxi) but is there a magic small bus that goes tardis like that I dont know about???

you are looking for the 28 Green Maxi Cab
Catch it from behind Victoria Gardens where there is an informal stop
It goes from Upper Baguio to CausewayBay-best bet would be to take it all the way and check out the route.
It has been a while since I vacated 301 Vic Gardens but if the backdoor through the carpark is still there then that would be your best route turn left at the exit and wait for the bus to come up from Sandy bay.

KK: Do you mean near the HK Uni dorms? Plenty of other buses stop there including the #8 mini to star ferry for starters.

Didn't know Vic gardens had access to the 28 route.

Actually no. I had a memory lapse; I meant the Green Maxicab {not 28] which comes up from Sandy Bay and goes behind Victoria Gardens and goes onto Causeway bay, via Central and Admiralty.

Does anyone know the quickest bus or minibus route that can get from Central (near IFC/Jardine Hse area) to Tin Hau (near Hing Fat St/Victoria Park/King's Road area) and vice versa? The only bus route I know is the #5 bus, but sad to say, walking is even faster than that route!!! It's the worst. I've tried using the route search on Citybus's website, but don't find it very useful or interactive.

CausewayBay behind Sogo via Admiralty Caine rd, Pokfulam rd Sasoon rd[just before Queen Mary Hospital ] onto Sandy Bay. Tell the bus to pull over when you see Crown Terrace. This assumes that the back door to Victoria Gardens is still there.
