| Thanks Kostas. I got one-way permit to settlement in HK. After reading that URL, I know it is called "Ordinary residence" at the first seven years when I move to HK. Then I wonder what passport I have during the first seven years in HK? China passport or HK passport? Last edited by asdf; 13-05-2005 at 02:37 PM. |

| Yes, you're right! When you settle in HK, and before you become a PR in HK, you get the "Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Document of Identity for Visa Purposes" (DI) After you've become a PR in HK, you can get the HKSAR passport |

| In any case, you would be a citizen of the People's Republic of CHina. Your nationality status would not be affected in any way |
