I'm looking for a serviced apartment or hotel. Some of these places do not offer wireless internet. Is there a way for me to subscribe to a wireless internet plan without the need for a router, etc.? I'm thinking of something like purchasing a card for my notebook and having the capability of wireless internet. Some technology that I am unaware of...any help would be great!
Lots of hotels have internet access, check the charging scheme. and no router needed for lan connect.
Also check www.netvigator.com (owned by PCCW the largest telcom provider in Hong Kong). If i remember you can sign up for roaming wireless service, usng a Wifi card in your notebook, however coverage would be limited to certain coffee shops/venues.
Check the new ad from Sunday in today's SCMP for wireless data. Does it sound attractive? (My BB ISP is wired but it doesn't hurt to know of new options).
