A job for a high school student.

I am 16 and am attending an International school in Kowloon. I want a job on the weekends, any ideas where i can get one?

When I was 16, McDonalds was always an option, not sure how popular that is here, though. Maybe if you provide some of your skills, interests, hobbies, some folks can help direct you in the right direction. Alternatively, would you consider volunteering to get the much needed experience?

McDonalds pays HKD16 an hour. So, i am not really interested, teaching sounds great but I do not know where to find a job. Its not really the fact that i need the money, since i get HKD500 as pocket money anyway, i just need something to make me wake up for on the weekends, something I'd enjoy.

Join a sports club, learn a new language. What do your friends do, do they work?

I think if you want a job you'll have to think outside the box - cos without any qualifications the jobs that you would be able to apply for won't be glamorous or well-paid. Do your parents know anyone who you could work for to get some experience for instance?

One good option at this age is to become private tutor if you have personal contacts with people looking for one...

Working at McDonalds would suck. Don't do it. I'm looking for a job this summer too and I have no qualifications either I want to work at a club/bar.
