Hi all,

I tried to go through the posts and even posted this on another forum but still confused.

3 (mother and 2 kids - 15 and 6 yrs) Indian Passport holders and no HK ID want to travel to China in end Nov 2008. Mother has already travelled to China once; she got the visa at New Delhi. Now they want to apply in HK as the req. paper work in Delhi is way too much. We have been following the visa updates online and on this forum. It seems like the restrictions are going away mid-Oct. Has anyone with Indian passports got travel L or F visa from Hong Kong in the recent past? I called the following travel agencies in that order -

1. Sunrise International - Spoke to a guy, who initially said no problem for 1 entry 15 day visa. He then asked about prior travel to China. When I said only the mother has been there before, he asked us to bring a photocopy of dad's passport and kids birth certificates, and again said 1 entry 15 day visa no problem.

2. FBT - The lady said that if someone has travelled to China before then no problem for 1 entry, 15 day visa. If not, they can only try. As I said only mother has been to China before.

3. CTS - First time, I called a lady said no problem for single entry visa for 15 days. Then I called again almost immly and said that only mother has travelled once to China and not the kids (she didn't ask me that q. anyway), she said they can try their best and its up to the visa officer.

All 3 agencies wanted us to have hotel accommodation and return flight ticket to India, which is not a problem. We can make arrangements, even if we have to pay some extra money.

We are very confused now as we want to be sure that there would be no problem in Hong Kong. Any suggestions/ updates would be greatly appreciated. If not HK, what do you think about getting visas from Macau?
