Recommends for a good webhosting registration company please.
Want to register two names on .com.hk and .hk

My website at the momentt is run from Uk as is an excellent thing whereby they give you access to predesigned formats that you can modify and update yourself. Real idiots answer to non techies like myself.
does anyone run a similar service here and what is the best value around if we have to DIY?

You can register .com.hk and .hk domains directly with the DNR.

Hosting companies is another beast all together. A couple of people I know have had good things to say about toughdomains.com ... ( their servers are in the US ... incase you're looking for a local host in HK ).

I would actually suggest that if you're happy with your current hosting provider...stick with them.

But hosting in the UK is so expensive for what you actually get, compared to other hosts in the US.

Oh, really! Did you co-locate? and did you like them?

I far, I haven't had a single problem with them. They keep you well informed way before any maintenance is due and the service I'm getting has been fantastic! In my opinion, they are the best host so far.

http://www.asmallorange.com is actually a well reputed host. Just do a google on them and also look at their feedback elsewhere.

I've been with venturesonline when they offered spectacular service, but I have a soft spot with aso. They may be slightly slow for us hong kong viewers, the ping is around 200, but if you aren't looking for lightning quick sites, they do the job.

There are other choices as well, and I've heard good thing about dreamhosts, but that was quite some time ago.
