I would like to surprise my fiance for his birthday by getting him a sportscar or a motorbike, or even better, a classic scooter for a day and getting him to drive out to the New Territories for a picnic. He is really missing Top Gear and his Lambretta back in the UK!

I've seen lots of posts on this topic but no replies. Does anyone have any ideas where to look?

I've tried online but don't seem to be able to find much. ClubWild expect yearly membership (a suggestion someone already made on here)

The main reason as far as i can tell is that the local market is too small for this kind of company to survive. A tiny place with well-connected and frequent public transport means is the killer.

There is an outfit out there called clubwild. Not sure how reputable etc... just google them.

I got a flyer from Avis, they have a boxster and a 911.

i think those you have to rent for the whole week, they dont allow daily or weekend rental. I did see them on the website before but then it disappeared.

they had a daily rate, which was a bit more than the weekend rate. Good for them to do that.

Hmm, unfortunately he's not a big fan of Porsches. And I also couldn't find them on the website.

I checked Club7wild and they are an outfit that charge extortionate sums for yearly membership for you to get use of sportscars all year long. Now that would be a good present but about 100 times more expensive!

Kazbo - yeah, I agree with you on the club wild thing. Looks like their business model is going to have to go through some changes as the IBers, Property driven guys are going to see some tough times over the next few months.
