Right then I will be seeing you tomorrow on the really hard 25km walk on the mac then? Should manage to shift a few grams - or at least that is what I am hoping given the amount of junk food my clients here in Manila keep feeding me!

Another option is to look into martial arts. Great exercise and good for you mentally too. I have a friend who says she's lost more weight doing kung fu than she ever could have at the gym. Go figure!

Thanks for the suggestion Jay. You seem to understand my need to be 'directed'. I've taken martial arts before (karate). Most certainly there's no "but I can't's" in those sessions. Although, my ballet mistresses surprisingly were even tougher than the Dojo guys.

Mat, yeah, not so much understanding my plight. But thanks for the suggestion and best of luck to your team. Although, I'll be rooting for my own Hiking group team, dude!

Whoops, didn't mean to be remiss.

Nope, no 25km for me.The long haul ones I'm out of commission on until after the show. Both shows seem dead set on rehearsing at the same time as hike step offs. erk! Galia's not at all pleased, I know.

What are you goals? Simply looking to lose weight, or you trying to tone up as well? If you are simply trying to lose weight, then eating only a certain number of calories per day will allow you to lose. The time it will take depends on if you add any training or not,ect.... I sent you an email about training so you can let me know what you think.

Oh no no no darling! Like I said, I've got the research. I know the weight comes off faster and healthier with resistance training as well. sure I want to feel good, but come on, we al lknow it's about looking good too! Especially in front of an audience. And just losing weight won't make me look good. Skin will sag and likely an unhealthy glow. Can't have that! Those lights are unforgiving

I've also mentioned that I'm following Weight Watchers CORE Plan.
And I've also have found it works for me to eat French-style, versus American-style. As in, my larger, carb-loaded meal of the day is my midday meal, instead of dinner. Of course, I'd tried, like Oprah preached, to stop eating after 7pm. But I'm often in bed by 9:30, so that didn't help. So, 6pm is my current cut-off.

It's about the fitness now. Which means the discipline to follow it. Which I just don't have.

Ps: Had my weigh-in yesterday, and I'm 2.5 more pounds down. woohoo! Thanks to my occassional walking buddy.
