Red face Aussie working visa

Can you apply for an Aussie working visa whilst in HK on a tourist visa?
I am an aussie with British passport so am trying to work out the best way to go. This site is great by the way!

Wouldnt that be a question for the Australian consulate? Not sure why, if you are australian, you'd need an aussie visa?

I suspect that what they mean is a Working Holiday Visa for HK (available only to young Aussies, Kiwis and Irish)

The working holiday visa is on a quota system. You might be best served if you drop into immigration tower and ask someone there -- given that you're already in HK.

Baron is an unknown quantity at this point.
I think you would have to leave the country and come back on the working visa.

Thanks! yes I did mean a working holiday visa for HK. But luckily I have a british passport too and seems like I'll have more opportunities on that - for work etc. and also I think once youv'e had a working holiday visa they don't like to give you any more visa's.
Thanks too this forum I'm getting alot of info on everything
