Park Island Information

Hi. Does anyone have any information on the pros and cons of Park Island. Currently living in HKG Island and considering moving to Park Island. It does have a feel of DB, but quieter. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Hi,

Nobody could answer ? It's a shame because we just came back from visiting some flats there, and would have been interested by your feedbacks. I want to see on GoHome, but there is a bug and we can not read the reviews :-(

mitchkarr, what did you decide then ?

Thanks in advance.

park view vs discovery bay

I've been looking into DB prior to our move, now Park view sounds amazing as well. My husband works in Wan Chai, how convenient is it to get there everday? How long is the journey? Is it a lonely place to live? I mean fa away from shops (food), cinema, local restaurants?

Are you looking at Park View or Park Island? If you're looking for info on Park Island, you might want to have a look at this thread.

My brother has lived in Park Island for past year and this is what he says:

Pros - It's clean, has good clubhouse facilities, beach, fairly quiet (however see Cons), inexpensive (<$10K), everything is new. Away from city.

Cons - Limited to ferry schedule, airplanes & cargo boats make noise plus some of apartments have inferior windows with allot of noise from wind. It's quite humid from sea air so he's had allot problems with interior mould growth. Can easily hear noise from neighbours since walls are not that thick. I get sea-sick everytime I visit him by ferry (just an aside for those with sea-sickness issues). Away from city.

For him, the cons outweigh the pros and after a year living there he desperately wants to move out. Now I should say that he's a single guy who needs to come into the city allot. For families the pro's might be in your favour, and you might love it. I would advise you go to Park Island and see how you feel. Pay attention to any noise in the apartment you look at and spend some time walking around the area to see if you like it. Take your entire family on the ferry to make sure no-one gets easily sea-sick.
