| May the force be with you! I have been known to control a few minds. I am up for Jedi training. I gave up when I was 11, but would love to get back into it. I've lost my lightsaber though.. where can I get a new one from? |

| Queen's University Belfast is offering a one-day workshop titled "Feel the Force: How to Train in the Jedi Way". Alas, light sabres are not included. Quote:

| If I could get a real light sabre I would be in like a shot. I have to admit owning one of the plastic ones that come with sound effects! |

Oh and the only time I ever feel the force is after a bad night on the beer and a dubious kebab! |

| I suppose it is hard for some to take this seriously, maybe it was the title of the post. This is an academic pursuit, for people who want to do some exploration of philosophy, subjects like balance, good and evil, the nature of existence, psyhic phenomenon, martial sciences, things of that nature. It doesn't involve lightsabers or any other fantasy, just fact, no fiction. That said I have found it to be quite a bit of fun in the past, but again, not everyone is interested in thought provoking exploration of such subjects. If you are not that's fine, but don't down others who are curious about exploring such things. Close mindedness is certainly nothing to be proud of. If your interested, please stop replying with jokes and nonsense about lightsabers, and send me a private message, otherwise I will not respond to you. Take care. | So, psychic phenomena are ok but light sabres are out? Which of us here thinks that current technology is probably more capable of building a light sabre than mind reading? |

| From what I recall (dang! it was 30 years ago), Luke's first Jedi Knight lesson required him to feel the force and his light sabre was involved. Ego, any Jedi training should involve light sabres; unless training has evolved since Obi Wan's day/time/dimension. |
