How can I get a HK ID if:

I am a malaysian chinese, holding a malaysia passport. born in malaysia

my mum is holding a HK Permanent ID card - she went to renewed her id last year. so now she is holding smart ID. but she didnt stay up to 7 years before she moved to Malaysia and married there. For my dad, he is a Malaysian.

*i had lodged an application two years ago but the immi. dept rejected my application saying that my mum has not stay here for 7 years.

my girlfriend is a Hk resident. no marriage plan yet. since both of us are still studying - graduating this coming july and sept. my gf's dad owns a factory in hk.

some additional info:
my parents have some properties in hk which is under my name, like apartment... we also have relatives and friends in hk. part of them have their own businesses. i have been in and out hk once every year since 1997.

so my question is, whats the best way for me to get a hk id card? i wish to work in hk after my graduation, so without a hkid card, it is very hard for me to get a job since i have no working exp. i hope not to give any troubles to my gf's dad and my mum's friends + relatives. also hope not to marry first since we both dont have a job.

do u think it's wise for me to re-lodge an application for permanant hkid card.?

Zeta - maybe you can do the invesment visa path since you own some properties.
