This seems like a simple question but I can not see the answer in any past topics.

I have a British and NZ passport. In places on the HKSAR website it appears that the British Passport allows me to enter HK and work without any further Visa requirements? Can someone please confirm if this is true else I would have to apply for working holiday visa under NZ passport.

No. After July 1997 British citizens are like any other. You need an employment visa to work in HK.

I'm moving to Hong Kong with my employer in July/August timeframes.
I'm planning for my girlfriend (she has a British Passport & we have not been in a de-facto relatonship) to move with me, I want to ensure she will (a) be granted entry and (b) be able to obtain a work permit.

Can anybody advise what steps wew need to take in order for both points to be granted by the Hong Kong authorities?

(a) She will be granted Visitor's visa
(b) To obtain a work permit she needs to find an employer willing to sponsor her job as well as visa...

How long is the visitors visa valid for?
And is it possible that she could set herself up in her own business and work accordingly?

I think if she's on a visitors visa, then she's not able to work in any form? Unless she has a visa through a sponsor.
