HP Notebook battery

Hi, does anyone know where in Hong Kong I can buy an HP Notebook battery from? I have a pavilion DV2000 which is less than 2 years old, but the battery doesnt last 5 minutes from 100 to zero. i figure the chore of taking it to an HP service center and have them fix it (or tell me its not their problem) would only add to my frustration...any help would be appreciated!!!

Laptop Batteries

It is normal for the rechargeable battery on a laptop to lose its capability to provide a decent charge after 2 years of use. Some last longer... but it depends on usage.

I personally go to the Mongkok Computer center for these kinds of things. There are small shops that specialize in laptop batteries. If they don't have it in stock, then you can order one. The Mongkok Computer Center is close to the Mongkok MTR station (Exit E). If you live on the island, then I would recommend the Wanchai Computer center.

Good luck.

The power management of laptops are designed to kill the battery after 18 months.

I never have the battery plugged in unless I am going travel or move the laptop.

Yeah, it's generally a good idea to keep the battery popped out of the laptop unless you are going mobile. And keep the battery around half charge when storing it.
