Here my draft email to the department manager which was talking with me on the phone earlier this week.

Seems you are very busy after your trip to Germany.

I tried to reach you a couple of times yesterday and today, as you didn’t call me on Wednesday.

I really would appreciate any update on the job application of mine. Maybe you could be so kind to let me know if any decision is made by now.

If you need any more further Information’s please let me know. I am still very interested and excited about the job at fiducia, so it would be nice to hear some news.

You can reach me as before on my china mobile (+86 13532760060)

Best regards,

I am not sure about it, maybe keep calling them would be better? How about following up that email with another call on monday?
As per BeeDee's comments - this one does you no favours.

How about this?

Dear XXX,

Thank you for taking the time to meet with me on the [date] and for our conversation [date]. I found both to be very interesting and am keen to work for [xxx].

I understand that you are having logistical difficulties dealing with my application - no doubt you are very busy and hopefully I can start soon and help ease the backlog. I realise this is probably low on your list of priorities, but I do need to make some decisions myself.

I have been waiting so far for the outcome of your process because you are top on my list of companies to work for, however, if you are not in a position to hire me, it would be most helpful to know sooner rather than later so that I can pursue other options.

If you need any further information to aid the review of the application, please do not hesitate to ask. I believe I am well suited to the position, because of my [put a couple of succinct points here].

I look forward to hearing from you.

Regards xxx

Just make sure you link all the phrases together. Just because it is an email, don't be too chatty. Write like it is a letter.

I see, it makes more sense. If the nature of consultancy work is sorted by function and sectors, then it's management consultants. My bro-in-law and his girlfriend are both management consultant (but the stuff they do are so different). Each time I ask him that question, he would go into a long windy answer and I never ever get a straight answer.

The HR Manager will get back to you. I'd say now you will hear one way of the other.

It's time to leave it alone and leave things up to them. I'd be looking for other jobs though, always good to have options.

No - not necessarily. It could just mean whether or not they are going to confirm the job. I find here that English written by non-native speakers sometimes uses odd phraseology and tend not to try and read too much meaning into it.
