Yeah, move on. Decisions are made in days and not weeks, if the company is interested in hiring you.

I agree; even if they do eventually offer you the job, it's worth being wary of any employer who is 'too busy' to at least keep in touch with applicants who've invested both time and interest in that company throughout the application process. It's common courtesy.

Agreed and also do you really want to work for a company that procrastinates in making decisions?

Yep - have to agree - our admin is appalling. Most of the time we go around it rather than use the "right" systems..... it's only the fun work and the people that keeps me here. If I was in head office I would have left long ago.

nalick - I think there is no harm in being persistent in calling up for feedbacks.

However you didn't mention which industry this firm is in, or where you are based currently. If you are not in HK, a cross border job search is bound to take longer. I was speaking to 3 firms when I was looking for jobs in HK from Singapore. It took me slightly more than 1.5 months to wrap things up with one firm and slightly over 2 months with the other two firms. You just have to be patient.

Aaah. Business consultancy - same business as me. Notoriously bad at HR! Send emails rather than ring from now on - emails are easier to forward around the company - copy everyone in that you met. Thank them for the time they spent with you, indicate you hope they had a good holiday/business trip, ask when they will have a decisions as you have other decisions to make etc pending this outcome. Be pleasant but persistent.... Ask if they need any more information .... Eventually someone will put you out of your misery!

And after you have sent the email, if you get no response, which unfortunately seems likely, you should move on. As others have said, I think they are giving you a polite brush off.
