Hilary Clinton Barn Burner Supporting Obama

Was this ever a barn burner of a speech by Hilary Clinton at the Democratic Convention.

MSNBC including Hardball's Chris Matthews are effusive in their praise of this.

It is 23 min long but wow, what a speech and what a powerful technique she uses to get her people to understand that America can't afford "4 more years of the last 8 years".

She talks of people she met and gives their backgrounds - injured war vet, woman with two adopted autistic children who now has cancer - and then asks Were you just in this campaign for me? And she repeats this line as she goes back to these people.

Will it be enough as Obama will need every person she motivated in her historic campaign to vote for him? I am not sure but Hillary Clinton sure put the right question to them and if they give the wrong answer it will look selfish.

Even if you are not a Democrat but like great speeches, this is a great one. She is at her best here.

As someone who can't stand Hillary I would have to say this was her best ever speech. I might have liked her more if she'd done this sort of thing when it counted

Brilliant speech. This one will be studied as an all time great.

I have a feeling she just handed the election to Obama.

Yes, great speech. Nobody in 2012 can accuse her of not supporting Obama, although she needs him to lose or her aspirations end.
Then there was that we're not quitters part. Sounded more like a speech giving by someone seeking a nomination than throwing support to the winner.
And the Washington Post reported on various Hillary people who were not swayed to support Obama.
Now if Bill Clinton is his usual self on stage, Obama will have a couple of hard acts to follow. Which might have been the point of the whole speech to begin with.
And, lest there be any dout, I am not a Clintonista.
