Vic is on a distinguished road
Suspicious

Have any of you been to "ALIBI", a swanky bar on Hollywood road?
I've been there a half dozen times early, late, when it's crowded and when it's not, in group or alone with my wife.
Each and every time, either ourselves or customers around us, have had to deal with a billing "error"...always to our or others detriment, of course. Adding drinks, not taking into account the Happy Hour price, not substracting drinks already paid for...
I can understand mistakes when it gets crowded (and that place does!). But every time?
Have you had problems at ALIBI or other bars? Is this common in Hong Kong?

I really don't think this is related to Hong Kong or Alibi. It is a global problem that affects what we tend to call PPPP (Posh Pretty People Places).

My office is up the road from Alibi and I've peeked at the pretty people in there and wondered... why do they keep going back in there despite complaints that they tend to mess bar tabs up?

If the value you get from the bar, after being overcharged, remains high you go back... if you feel ripped off you dont. Obviously Alibi and some other places think (rightly in this case) that people will come back despite the mistakes and snotty attitudes.

I can recommend a dozen establishments around Alibi where none of us have ever had a problem with the tabs, service and attitude.
