Travel Insurance

Hi,

I have been in HK for almost an year now, and when I had come my company had given me travel insurance along with the tickets. Now, initially, I wasn't to stay this long, but now my stay is extended till next year.
The travel insurance, that I have is valid only up to 360 days, after that, I am supposed to buy something locally which obviously gets reimbursed later on by my company.
Could you suggest, how/which/where I can get the travel insurance? Mind, the limit set by my company is USD5 per day for the premium.

Many Thanks.

G

lulumay is an unknown quantity at this point.
i'm surprised that there are travel insurance that covers for more than 180 days. why dont you just get local health insurance from BUPA or similar?

GnR,

I think we'd need more details on what you want the insurance to cover in order to be able to make any recommendations. There are many, many travel insurance policies available, with widely differing coverage.

Hi PDLM,

I need the insurance to cover medical/accidental/dental atleast. If it gives anything more then it'd be a bonus.
I can't buy the normal insurance, as, for whatever I found out, its based on yearly, whereas I need it just for few months.

Regards,

G

That's not really Travel Insurance - sounds more like worldwide Health Insurance to me. The Geo recommended broker is Kwiksure - Online Insurance Supermarket and they have done similar policies for me in the past.

Hi PDLM,

I know it doesn't sound much like travelinsurance, but, I was hoping that you could suggest me something, as this is the first time for me in this situation.
