So ... we're all friends now and we can move on to other pressing issues like the price of tea in China?

There is nothing wrong with that Kabiro.

I think its generally best, regardless of our ancestral ethnicity, picking up cultural inferences via where we are raised ( by birth ) or via working/living in a country, other than our ancestral homes, further adds to our cultural sensibilities.

As we further immerse ourselves into new cultures, the more tolerant/richer we become, things like racism become a thing of the past, as we gather more cultural experience/understanding, or adding new languages to our social repertoire etc.

Makes life a lot more interesting then...

Oh, and I think this is the best opinion on Crocs that I bumped into quite a while ago and your discussion made me find it. It's just the first few paragraphs of this thing, funny too.

Fashion tips for women from a guy who knows dick about fashion.

Haha, FYI I was joking about the 'wear masks' comment, but don't get me wrong, I don't have any problems with my Indian heritage. I just have my own personal disagreements with some of the values and barbaric ways that some of the older generation tends to live by. I've been to Mumbai/Delhi/Jaipur/Bangalore/Varanassi plenty of times, and it is a beautiful place, amazing culture, and I'm very aware of it.

I get along with people who have lived in South America better though, since I was raised there all my life.

That site is hilarious. I'm Sindhi too. Born in HK, grew up around kids from 90 different countries and then moved to New York City. Took Spanish in college, but I used it a lot on the streets of New York, so I got a lot better at it than most of my peers. No puedo practicar mucho aca. :/

I usually close threads when there is too much angst. This is one is closed because not enough people are pissed off! Seems like the matter has resolved itself and its going way of track.
