Hi,

Does anyone know where I can buy a French Bulldog or an English Bulldog here in Hong Kong? And what about the price?

Don't know anyone who has them here. I imported ours from Europe.

Be careful with bloodlines and hereditary diseases. Ours had lumbar and cervical spine problems, which only after we found out and spent tens of thousands in vet bills we learned that this is very common in some blood lines.

Other than that, they're loyal, loving, funny and intelligent. A great companion.

I imported her when I lived in the US. I found a breeder online and went to visit. Since I just imported my dogs here, I would say there isn't too much difference with HK.

I would suggest using an agent unless you have quite a bit of free time. We found out two crucial pieces of info; you need to have your rabies shot >30 days before entry and must have the type of chip HK requires or they will give it to the animal at entry.

And remember you can't import a puppy into HK until it is at least 5 months old.

You can buy a lot of French Bulldogs around HK. Dog Shops which are reputable are usually around the Causeway Bay area. However, if your looking for Bulldogs then I would suggest importing, because it's extremely rare to find a 'good' Bulldog in HK. Some of them end up having long legs when they age and some of them their head becomes too small compared to their body. Pretty much like Boxers. The proportion isn't right overall. It's kind a hard to notice these difference when their pups as well. So I would recommend importing them as well. I own a Bulldog myself and it was luck that I found a good breeder which breeds good Bulldog. I wish I still had his contact though...
