Hi,

Similiar story. Looking to mve to Hong Kong for 6months and trying to find out about accommodation. Having trouble finding sites for fully furnished apartments that are NOT serviced. Anyone know of any sites

The job is in Central and it appears that transport around the island is pretty good. Any suggestions for good areas to live. Budget probably 13k max p/mth.

Best bets are you might have to share, if you cant commit on a 2 year lease AND do not want to pay the premium for a serviced apt.

There is always a rare chance that you might find someone who is breaking their lease, moving back etc.. you know, I'd let your local office stress out on this.

pretty hip, party-esque type atomosphere, probaby a lot of professional, transient Brits and Americans is my guess. probably lots o drunks too, which only matters cuz the walls didn't look too thick. great, funny website. i saw the room for $8000HKD and it was the size of a closet, but for 3,000 more maybe you'll get something decent. in Sheung Wan neighborhood within walking distance of Central.

Sadly I'm not going with my current company so it's on my head to get things sorted. There appears to be 100's of serviced apt buidlings. Looking for a quieter less party place for couples thanks Simatai. Anyone currently in a 13kish place at the moment they recommend?

Discovery Bay is a friendly peaceful quiet community a half-hour ferry ride away to Pier 3 next to the IFC, Central. Check out their website. http://www.discoverybay.com.hk/main/home_eng/home.html You can get a nice apt for that price or even less and furnishings are negotiable.
