hey guys,

I am getting married soon and I was wondering if anyone knows of a good bridal registry that offers an online service? I have lots of international guests coming (the wedding will be in HK!) and so I need something they can access.

The only one I have heard of is Double Happiness -welcome to doublehappiness.com.hk,wedding registry,gift registry,wedding gifts,wedding catering,wedding cakes - does anyone have any experiences with them?

Hiya, I was in a similar situation as you are (wedding in HK, most of my guests flying in from all over the world). I used Double Happiness as well, but feel obliged to report that they are not all that professional. Apart from the rather limited choice of gifts, whenever I would call them up for an enquiry, someone would pick up and go "what? what Double Happiness??". So obviously it's a home business with no trained / full time dedicated staff.

When the gifts finally arrived (only after I've been chasing them for weeks) some were missing - apparently something was not in stocks, but they didn't bother informing us of that. Eventually they offered a cash coupon, which turned out to expire in a few weeks' time....

So my advice is, if most of your guests are from the UK / US / Aus etc, use the online gift registries there instead, get the gifts sent to your family, and get them to ship the gifts over. Otherwise the only decent registry here in HK is the Lane Crawford one I'm afraid...
