Has anyone been living in Caracas Venezuela? What is like living in Caracas as a family with 2 young children (age 6 & 2)? Any info to share would be greatly appreciated.

I had heard that about Cuba in 1968 and I missed a chance to see a country that I wished I had. Now there are tours there.

If this is true, would it not depend really on two things:
1. what you were doing there? I know Canadian oil companies are there now.
2. whether you would be eligible to go to the USA in the first place.

If you were working for a global outfit in many parts of the world and not having just travel visas, this might not be a factor in preventing you from visiting the USA - at least that is what I'd want to look into.

I don't think by living and working in Caracas it's establishing a prima facie case that you'd not be let into visit the USA.
