| New flat owner. Question about the homeowner association Hey all, I bought a flat a few months ago and have a mortgage on it. At the moment we're not having any trouble with the Homeowner Association, this is just in case we ever do have any trouble and it's something petty. Assuming I am paying my management fee on time and my mortgage on time, if someone complains about something....like a barking dog....can the homeowner association do anything aside from trying to sue me? My wife is worried that the homeowner association could place something on our "property record" or something saying we were troublesome and making it more difficult to sell the flat in the future. She is only speculating though, and I have never heard of such a thing. From what I understand if you tell the homeowner association to "F off", all they can really do is sue you. Can someone clarify this for us? Thanks! |
