Work Permit Application Question Hello, I'm about to move to HK to work in a Regional Business Director role for a multinational advertising / comms network. I have 12+ years experience in a variety of global agencies working on wide range of international clients, and will be on a good expat package in HK. However I do not have a university degree, will this be a problem with my work permit application? If anyone has any experience relating to this I would be grateful for their input. Many thanks.

The company needs to be able to make a very strong case that the position could not be filled locally and that they could not fill the position with a candidate that has a uni degree overall. Once this is done then very likely that your 12+ years experience in the filed will compensate for the lack of a uni degree.

You should be fine if your company does a good job on the supporting letter. My employer has two non-graduate expats here (one middle management, one senior) and neither had any problems at all with the Employment Visa application, although they did both come on internal transfers with at least a couple of years experience with the company in the UK first...
