| Agent costs, please help! What sort of percentage would I pay an agent on a one bedroom apartment that costs between 2500- 6000 HKD. Also does anyone know of any apartments close to HK University/ SOHO/ Sheung Wan/ Chung Wan ( you get the idea) that would be in this price range? If you know of any send a PM with the deets my way!  |

| Agent's fees are normally half a month's rent from each of the landlord and the tenant. You aren't going to find one bedroom apartments on HK Island at $2500/month! Use GoHome to get some sort of idea. Last edited by PDLM; 14-08-2008 at 03:31 AM. |

| Rooms in guests houses / hostels for a month are not even that cheap. You maybe able to get a 'shared apartment' situatuation starting somewhere at 4000HK. If you are attending the University the, check with the housing department at the school. |
