Any of the little photo-processing shops will do them for you on the spot, and give you a .jpg on CD to take away for next time.

Yep. Just tell them what country you need the visa for -- most of them know the various formats and backgrounds required for various countries.

Don't say cheese!

There are photo booths in the IFC, ground floor just beyond the esclators up to the IFC proper near the signs for the airport express. 35 bucks and a push of a button. That's how I got my china visa photos :-)

I second the recommendation of the IFC photo booth, down the on the airport express check-in line level. It's actually a really good quality foto--well lit, and you can approve/disapprove it before printing.

Most passport photos today look like cheap pictures taken with digital cameras, no lighting, no ambience, no savoir faire. It's time to take bring back the artistry to immigration photography...

ok, getting carried away...

anyway, it's a good machine.

Multiple reentry etc, etc. The visa doesn't have a photo on it but my nice and not easily understood travel person told me I had to :-)

Anyone know of a good photo shop for color passport photos near Sogo in Causeway Bay? I know they are probably on every street corner but I've been oblivious to them.

go to FOTOMAX, they have branches everywhere and they have all different backgrounds (color) for different ID requirements and you can pick up straight away.

You can get Visa Photo's done at the Visa place in Wanchai.. they have a lil booth there. Actually, that's if ur Visa is to go to China! It's about $35-$40 (make sure u bring the change) - and convenient if u don't have time to go elsewhere. Remember.. no teeth showing when u smile! =)
