Question A cheap 3 bedroom only in my dreams?

Hello,
my two friends and I are moving to HK, teaching in the Kowloon area in a week or so. We would like to find a reasonably priced 3 Br flat ( between 10,000 and 14,000 HKD or lower a month)

We would like be within 30 mins commute to our work . I would prefer a larger apartment and more green space , so I don't mind the commute, but I don't know if my roomates feel the same.:confused
Does anyone know of decent flats to live in, what locations would be best for first timers.
Would it be easiest for us to split up?

Thanks so much for your suggestions!

Do you have a more specific location as to where you will be working in the Kowloon area? this will help with areas within 30 minutes...

Hi There,

We live in Jordan and really enjoy it here. There is some green space around the corner at the cricket club and Kowloon park is down the street. The convenient location is super: we're mins away from Central, TST, and even Sheung Wan (very fast by bus). We live in an older building with high ceilings and tons of space (1600 sq ft) with two full ensuite bathrooms and a third fair sized bedroom and separate bathroom off the kitchen. We found this apartment by walking around the area we liked and went into various agent's offices.

Goodluck!

If you want green areas and more space for a cheaper price, you need to look into living in the New Territories. Depending where you are in Kowloon(close to train or MTR) it'll dictate the area you want to look into. Sha Tin, Ma On Shan, Tai Po are very nice areas on the train line. Buses and minibuses can also be quite fast if there's a direct route to your work.

Being close to a park is something that I would like. I think the Tung Chung area wouldn't be too bad for me. I don't know the geography of the area , though.
We'll be working in the Kwun Tong area.

If you're in Kwun Tong, you might want to look into the Tseung Kwan O area. Lots of new developments at reasonable prices.

Hmmm not sure if a 3 bed would be in his budget though, He'll get a two bed and maybe a tiny box room as the third.

Last time I checked for that area a few months ago 2 beds were around 12k.

3 bedroom in Jordan?

Thinking of moving back into town due to work...currently out in NT

That sounds like a good sized flat for Jordan, old buildings are great..is it walk up or with a lift?

In the 10-14,000 range?

anyone know the prices in laguna city or sceneway gardens at the moment?

both of those would be VERY close to work for you, possibly even walking distance.
